Tikeya - Third Round - The Digital Transformation of Performing Arts Digital transformation in all fields is a priority for any field of work globally. But that is difficult in the case of performers, because of it depends on live performance and audiences. This is why this international art residency comes from the Tikeya Program, as an attempt to think about ways to digitally transform performers. The trainers and participants did multiple thinking at the level of Storytelling – Comedy – Dance – Physical Theater. The residency focused on developing ideas and learning technical skills. Wingfield family lives in the U.S, where diverse cultures and ethics exist. Tom Winfield is a young prominent writer who speaks Arabic and looking forward to travel all over the world, despite his work in a shoes store to support his family after the father’s abounded. Amanda the mother who speaks French tries to convince Tom to bring a mutual groom for Laura who speaks Spanish. Tom succeeded to bring the gentleman caller, and here the surprise comes. The movie events revolve around 30 cities around the world in one theatrical scene. The Gentleman Caller is based on the Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, with participation of artists from different backgrounds and nationalities. Directed by Ahmed Saleh and produced by Mohab Saber. Production companies: ElMadina for Performing Arts (Egypt), Calypso for Arts and Culture (Belgium) and Fig Leaf Studios (Egypt).
